Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers

St. Louis ‘Caniacs’ Welcome 6th Raising Cane’s

Rams Cheerleaders, Rampage to add to grand opening festivities Thursday

Caniacs in Kirkwood have been craving a Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers to call their own. And they’re about to get their wish.

The popular Louisiana-based chain known for its ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals – will hold its latest grand opening on Thursday, Oct. 15, marking the sixth Raising Cane’s in the St. Louis market and the 237th overall in its nationwide system.

Located at 1034 S. Kirkwood Rd, in Kirkwood Commons, off the Lindbergh exit of I-44, the new restaurant will kick off the festivities at 9:30 a.m. with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring the Kirkwood-Des Peres Area Chamber of Commerce, Kirkwood Mayor Art McDonnell, the St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders and Rampage, the team’s mascot.

First-time visitors will be treated to traditional cheers and other high-energy chants to launch the location in unique Cane’s fashion, compliments of its 45-50 newly hired crewmembers. Doors open to the public at 10 a.m.

To add to the opening day excitement, the first 10 paying, dine-in customers ages 13 and older will receive Free Cane’s for a Year! In addition, the first 100 paying, dine-in customers ages 13 and older will receive a free Cane’s Kirkwood T-shirt, along with a voucher for a free Box Combo – containing four fresh, never ever frozen chicken fingers, Texas toast, secret recipe Cane’s sauce, coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries and a drink – that may be redeemed on a subsequent visit.

As if that’s not reason enough to drop by, Y98 Radio (KYKY) – St. Louis’ Hot Adult Contemporary Station – will be broadcasting remotely from the restaurant from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. And the Bubble Bus will drop by from 4 to 5 p.m. to spread joy and bubbles in the Raising Cane’s parking lot.

“The people of St. Louis have welcomed Raising Cane’s with open arms over the last several years, and we’re so proud to be growing part of the community here,” said General Manager Chris Deatherage, a Kirkwood High School alumnus. “I’ve lived in Kirkwood my entire life, so I’m especially proud to bring our ONE LOVE to this great town. I’m also excited to be reaching out around the local community to see how my crewmembers and I can support the schools and other non-profit organizations that are such an integral part of Kirkwood.”

On Oct. 9, Deatherage and his crewmembers volunteered at the Mary Culver Home for Visually Impaired Women, an organization established in Kirkwood in 1866. They assisted with several tasks at the home and helped with fundraising.

“I’ve known about the important work they do at the Mary Culver Home for years, so it was really a privilege to take some time prior to our grand opening to get the crew out there pitching in however they needed us,” said Deatherage.

Raising Cane’s is supporting other events and organizations throughout the area as well, including sponsoring Kirkwood High School Athletics and the Greentree Festival Parade in Kirkwood.

Raising Cane’s is also proud to be The Official Chicken of the St. Louis Rams.
