Rayford Road restaurant set to open April 9
With his first Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers going gangbusters just a few miles down I-45 in Shenandoah, franchisee Jesson Gil is gearing up to spread the Louisiana-based chain’s ONE LOVE to residents and businesses in Spring. His second restaurant, located at 520 Rayford Road, is set to open on Wednesday, April 9.
Gil promises a grand opening worthy of the addictive chicken fingers themselves, with a little help from the Oak Ridge High School Cheerleaders, the Spring Chamber of Commerce and the Rayford Road Civic Association. The festivities start at 10 a.m. and run through 10:30 p.m., with the first 20 paying, dine-in customers receiving Free Cane’s For a Year!
Known for its ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals – Raising Cane’s mission extends beyond the kitchen and into the community with each grand opening, and Spring is no exception. On Friday, April 4, General Manger Cameron Busby and his crewmembers will be volunteering at their new neighbor, Generations Church, pitching in with playground cleanup and a beautification project.
Always looking to serve others, Busby said he is eager to get his hands dirty again for a community he’s been a part of for roughly a decade. And he’s proud to do so with Raising Cane’s, which has consistently been named one of the “Best Companies To Work For” in communities throughout its system.
“My family moved to Fox Run at the back of Rayford in 2004 and I attended Oak Ridge High until I graduated in 2006,” Busby said. “I’ve done work with the Oak Ridge FFA and PTO, so I feel this community is a part of me. I am also proud to work for a company like Raising Cane’s that is equally dedicated to giving back. Having worked for Cane’s for the last four years, I find it personally rewarding to play a part in the town’s growth as we open a new restaurant.”
At Wednesday’s grand opening, the first 100 paying, dine-in customers will receive a commemorative Spring Cane’s T-shirt, along with a voucher for a free Box Combo – containing four fresh, never ever frozen chicken fingers, Texas toast, secret recipe Cane’s sauce, coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries and a drink – that may be redeemed on a subsequent visit.
Between April 9 and 13, customers of the new Raising Cane’s will also be invited to participate in the company’s “Give Back Giveaway” tradition, in which one customer will win a $1,000 donation to his or her local charity of choice, along with Free Cane’s for a Year.
