DJ Jay Whatley from popular radio station K94.5-FM will add to the grand opening fun by playing today’s hits on-site.
“We love Shreveport and it’s great to know the people of Shreveport love their Raising Cane’s, too!” said General Manager John Parker, who was recently promoted from his previous position as Operational Manager at Raising Cane’s Youree Dr. location. “My crew and I can’t wait to open our doors and to share our ONE LOVE with folks from all around this vibrant part of town.”
Founded by Todd Graves in 1996 and named for his yellow Labrador, Raising Cane’s recently earned the distinction of being among the Top 10 quick service restaurant chains in the nation for 2015, according to the authoritative Sandelman & Associates Quick-Track study, based on food quality, customer service, cleanliness and other important factors.
Along with its focus on chicken fingers, Raising Cane’s is renowned for its commitment to active involvement in its local communities. On Wed., Aug. 31, Parker and his fellow crewmembers volunteered their time at the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana, where they helped sort and package donations.
“We were happy to pitch in at the Food Bank for our pre-opening service project,” said Parker. “And we’re excited about doing even more with the local schools and other organizations throughout the area. We’re also proud sponsors of the Shreveport Mudbugs and look forward to lots of fun activities with the team and its fans.”
Hours of operation at Raising Cane’s newest restaurant are Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to Midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. When it opens, it will be the 64th Raising Cane’s in Louisiana and the 284th in its nationwide system.
