The chicken finger invasion of Lincoln continued when Southern Hospitality Ventures, Inc. opened their 3rd Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant in north Lincoln at 28th & Cornhusker Highway on February 27, 2014.
This 3rd store gives Caniacs the same delicious Always Fresh. Never Ever Frozen. ® Chicken Fingers in a unique and vibrant atmosphere. This location will be the largest Lincoln Raising Cane’s to date and with close proximity to local schools, UNL Campus, the Ice Box, not-for-profit organizations and many businesses; this restaurant has already began making great partnerships and looking forward to serving their customers and community.
“We’re ecstatic about the opening of our newest restaurant and sharing our ONE LOVE ® with both new and loyal customers.,” said Jennifer Jones, proud owner of the Lincoln Raising Cane’s franchise. “But what we’re most excited about is the opportunity to get involved and positively impact the local community in another part of Lincoln; there are many great organizations and people we have met and we look forward to supporting them” she added.
Grand opening events began on Tuesday, February 25 with an exclusive invitation only Friends & Family event where 100% of sales were donated to Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach—an organization that is dedicated to serving Lincoln’s working poor and homeless. Managers and crewmembers also volunteered at The Food Bank of Lincoln on Wednesday, February 26th.
The restaurant officially opened to the public on Thursday, February 27 at 10:00am. The first 100 guests received a commemorative Lincoln Cane’s T-shirt; along with a voucher for a free Box Combo and a chance to register to win FREE CANE’S FOR A YEAR. The North Star Cheer Squad and Mascot were on hand to escort the first customers in both dine in and drive through areas.
