Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers

Raising Cane's Brings One Love to Des Peres

Earlier this year, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers entered the St. Louis market by opening restaurants in three area malls: Chesterfield, Mid Rivers and the Saint Louis Galleria.

On Thursday, the Louisiana-based chain known for its ONE LOVE – quality chicken finger meals – will up the ante with its first free-standing restaurant in Des Peres.  Cane’s newest location at 12215 Manchester Road, just east of I-270, will be its fourth in Missouri and its 171st nationwide.

Cole Garrison – St. Louis native, Lindenwood University graduate and General Manager of the new Des Peres location – has worked in the restaurant industry for a dozen years.  He’s seen how quickly Raising Cane’s has built a following in his hometown, and he’s excited about being a part of its continued growth.

“We’ve had great success at all three area malls, but St. Louis is long overdue for its first full-size Cane’s,” said Garrison.  “My crew and I can’t wait to open our doors, and our drive-thru, and share our ONE LOVE with the good folks of Des Peres.  And we’re equally excited about doing our part to support the local community.”

On October 25th, the Des Peres crew brought Cane’s always-popular lemonade stand to the Parkway South High School football game to provide complimentary refreshments to the fans.  And on Friday, November 1st, Garrison and his fellow crewmembers volunteered at the local Junior League.

“We’re just getting started with our community support initiatives, but we’ll be kicking it up several notches once we get up and running,” said Garrison.  “We’re all about supporting schools and other local non-profits that need our help.  Community service is ingrained in Raising Cane’s DNA, which is one of the many reasons it’s such a great place to work.”

Grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremonies will be conducted at the new restaurant at 9:30 AM on Thursday, November 7th, in conjunction with the Kirkwood-Des Peres Area Chamber of Commerce and local city officials. First-time visitors to the ceremonies are in for a treat, as 45-50 newly hired Crewmembers will be performing their traditional cheers and other high-energy chants to launch the new location in unique Cane’s fashion.

The restaurant will officially open to the public at 10:00 AM.  The first 100 paying, dine-in customers will receive a commemorative Des Peres Cane’s T-shirt, along with a voucher for a free Box Combo – containing four fresh, never ever frozen chicken fingers, Texas toast, secret recipe Cane’s sauce, coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries and a drink – that may be redeemed on a subsequent visit.

Between November 7th and 14th, customers of the nation’s newest Raising Cane’s will also be invited to participate in the company’s “Give Back Giveaway” tradition, in which one customer will win a $1,000 donation to his or her local charity of choice, along with Free Cane’s for a Year.

In February, Raising Cane’s earned the distinction of #1 Quick Service Restaurant Chain in the Nation for 2012, according to the authoritative Sandelman & Associates Quick-Track study.  In addition to scoring top overall honors, Cane’s earned six additional first-place awards.  More than 63 percent of Raising Cane’s customers rated their most recent visit “excellent” overall (rating of “5” on a 5-point scale).
