Raising Cane’s Set to Open 30th DFW Restaurant

Popular chicken finger chain’s first location in Burleson marks another local milestone Oct. 1

Caniacs in Burleson are about to get a Raising Cane’s to call their own.

And the Louisiana-based chain known for its ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals – is marking another milestone by opening its 30th restaurant in the DFW Metroplex, already the largest market in its nationwide system.

Burleson’s first Raising Cane’s, located at 824 SW Wilshire Blvd, at the corner of Hidden Creek and Wilshire, will kick off its grand opening at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony compliments of the Burleson Chamber of Commerce and other local dignitaries. The Burleson High School Cheerleaders and Drumline will also be joining in the festivities. Doors open to the public at 10 a.m.

First-time visitors will be treated to traditional cheers and other high-energy chants to launch the location in unique Cane’s fashion, compliments of 50-60 newly hired crewmembers.

To add to the opening day excitement, the first 10 paying, dine-in customers ages 13 and older will receive Free Cane’s for a Year! In addition, the first 100 paying, dine-in customers ages 13 and older will receive a free Cane’s Burleson T-shirt, along with a voucher for a free Box Combo – containing four fresh, never ever frozen chicken fingers, Texas toast, secret recipe Cane’s sauce, coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries and a drink – that may be redeemed on a subsequent visit.

“My crewmembers and I can’t wait to finally welcome Burleson Caniacs to their very own Raising Cane’s,” said General Manager Michael O’Grady, a 15-year veteran of the restaurant industry. “We also think it’s really cool that this is our 30th restaurant in the Metroplex!

O’Grady and his crewmembers began their local community outreach on Sept. 25 by pitching in at the Briar Oaks Volunteer Fire Department, washing fire trucks, doing yard work and helping out with basic cleaning and housekeeping chores. In addition, the restaurant will be donating proceeds from its pre-opening training events to the Chisholm Trail 100 Club, which provides scholarships for the children of fallen first responders.

“Everyone at Raising Cane’s understands and appreciates the incredible sacrifices made by firefighters, police officers and their families, so we’re proud to do our part to give back to these true American heroes,” said O’Grady. “We’re also looking forward to supporting the schools and other non-profits that make Burleson such a great place live, work, eat and play.”

Also during Thursday’s grand opening festivities, members of the Burleson Youth Association will be on-hand to support the evening crowd, beginning at 5 p.m.

The newest grand opening marks the 77th Raising Cane’s in Texas and the 234th systemwide. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.
