Popular chicken finger chain known for active community involvement to open 3rd restaurant in far north Houston Sept. 24
Raising Cane’s is spreading more of its ONE LOVE across the Houston area this week.
The popular chicken finger chain will unveil its 19th restaurant in Space City this Thursday, Sept. 24, complete with giveaways and chances to win Free Cane’s For a Year!
Located at 705 FM 1960 W, just a half-mile west of I-45, it’s the third Raising Cane’s in the far north area of Houston. The Louisiana-based chain known for its singular focus on ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals – will kick off its grand opening at 9:30 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony compliments of the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce and local fire, police and city officials. Doors open to the public at 10 a.m.
First-time visitors will be treated to traditional cheers and other high-energy chants to launch the location in unique Cane’s fashion, compliments of 50-60 newly hired crewmembers.
To add to the opening day excitement, the first 10 paying, dine-in customers ages 13 and older will receive Free Cane’s for a Year! In addition, the first 100 paying, dine-in customers ages 13 and older will receive a free Cane’s Houston T-shirt, along with a voucher for a free Box Combo – containing four fresh, never ever frozen chicken fingers, Texas toast, secret recipe Cane’s sauce, coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries and a drink – that may be redeemed on a subsequent visit.
“Houston has quickly become one of our most popular markets, with more Caniacs than you can shake a stick at,” said General Manager Kevin Sego. “My crewmembers and I can’t wait to open our doors and start serving up our ONE LOVE. And just as important, we’re all really excited about pitching in around the local community, supporting the schools and other non-profits that are such an integral part of north Houston.”
Sego and his crewmembers will begin their local community outreach tomorrow by volunteering at the Abandoned Animal Rescue, a shelter devoted to saving the lives of homeless, unwanted animals in Tomball.
“One of Raising Cane’s five focus areas of community service is pet welfare, so we’re proud to support the great work being done by the volunteers at Abandoned Animal Rescue,” said Sago.
Founded by Todd Graves in 1996 and named for his yellow Labrador, Raising Cane, the rapidly growing chain recently earned the distinction of being among the top four quick service restaurant chains in the nation for 2014, according to the authoritative Sandelman & Associates Quick-Track study, based on food quality, customer service, cleanliness and other important factors.
The newest grand opening marks the 76th Raising Cane’s in Texas and the 232nd systemwide. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.
