Spurs’ Coyote to help celebrate 9th San Antonio grand opening July 26
SAN ANTONIO, TX (July 21, 2016) – San Antonio is already home to eight Raising Cane’s restaurants.
But next Tuesday, Caniacs in and around The Rim will find it even more convenient to get their chicken finger fix!
The popular Louisiana-based restaurant company known for its ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals – will hold its ninth grand opening in the area on Tuesday, July 26, at 17518 La Cantera Parkway, inside The Rim Shopping Center, in San Antonio.
Local residents should not be surprised if loyal fans – affectionately known as “Caniacs” – decide to campout overnight to be the first in line for their favorite chicken fingers.
Grand opening festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. The Coyote, mascot of the San Antonio Spurs, will make a special appearance to help cut the ribbon. First-time visitors will be treated to traditional cheers and other high-energy chants to launch the location in unique Cane’s fashion, compliments of its 50-60 newly hired crewmembers. Doors open to the public at 10 a.m.
To add to the excitement, the first 20 paying, dine-in customers ages 13 and older will receive Free Cane’s for a Year! In addition, the first 100 paying, dine-in customers ages 13 and older will receive a free Cane’s San Antonio T-shirt, along with a voucher for a free Box Combo – containing four fresh, never ever frozen chicken fingers, Texas toast, secret recipe Cane’s sauce, coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries and a drink – that may be redeemed on a subsequent visit.
“All of us at Raising Cane’s love San Antonio, and it’s really cool to know that San Antonio loves us back,” said General Manager Matt Neuroth. “My crew and I can’t wait to open our doors here in The Rim and to share our ONE LOVE with Caniacs old and new from all across the area.”
Founded by Todd Graves in 1996 and named for his yellow Labrador, Raising Cane’s recently earned the distinction of being among the Top 10 quick service restaurant chains in the nation for 2015, according to the authoritative Sandelman & Associates Quick-Track study, based on food quality, customer service, cleanliness and other important factors.
In addition to its focus on chicken fingers, Raising Cane’s is renowned for its commitment to active involvement in its local communities. On Wed., July 20, Neuroth and his fellow crewmembers volunteered with San Antonio Parks & Recreation, where they helped with various landscaping activities to further beautify Friedrich Wilderness Park.
“We had a great time pitching in at Friedrich Park for our pre-opening service project,” said Neuroth. “We’ve also begun working with the local high schools, and we’ll be getting more and more involved with other great organizations in the area in the weeks and months ahead.”
Raising Cane’s is also a Proud Sponsor of the UTSA Roadrunners.
Hours of operation at Raising Cane’s newest restaurant are Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to Midnight. When it opens, it will be the 95th Raising Cane’s in the Lone Star State and the 275th in its nationwide system.
San Antonio’s 10th Raising Cane’s is now under construction at 1418 Austin Highway and is projected to open on Aug. 16.
