Kansas City Caniacs Welcome 2nd Raising Cane’s

Popular chicken finger brand to host grand opening Tuesday in Blue Springs

KANSAS CITY, MO (May 19, 2016) – The chicken finger invasion of Kansas City continues, as Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers prepares to open its second restaurant in the area next week.

The popular Louisiana-based restaurant company known for its ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals – will hold its next grand opening on Tuesday, May 24, in Blue Springs, marking the eighth Raising Cane’s in Missouri and the 266th nationwide.

Located at 1000 NE Coronado Drive, the new restaurant will kick off the festivities at 9:30 a.m. with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Blue Springs Mayor Carson Ross. First-time visitors will be treated to traditional cheers and other high-energy chants to launch the location in unique Cane’s fashion, compliments of its 65-70 newly hired crewmembers. Doors open to the public at 10 a.m.

To add to the opening day excitement, Mix 93.3 will be playing today’s hits during a live remote broadcast from 12 – 1 p.m. at the restaurant.

In addition, the first 20 paying, dine-in customers ages 13 and older will receive Free Cane’s for a Year! And the first 100 paying, dine-in customers ages 13 and older will receive a free Cane’s Blue Springs T-shirt, along with a voucher for a free Box Combo – containing four fresh, never ever frozen chicken fingers, Texas toast, secret recipe Cane’s sauce, coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries and a drink – that may be redeemed on a subsequent visit.

“All of us at Raising Cane’s are thrilled to be here in Kansas City and to be introducing a whole new group of Caniacs to our brand,” said General Manager Beverly Callia. “We’ve assembled a great crew in Blue Springs and can’t wait to open our doors on Tuesday. We’ve already begun our support of the local community and we’re looking forward to doing even more with the schools and other organizations throughout the area in the months and years ahead.”

On May 18, Callia and her fellow crewmembers volunteered at the Blue Springs YMCA, cleaning up the basketball court area. During Tuesday’s ribbon cutting ceremony, Callia will also present a donation check on behalf of Raising Cane’s to a representative of the YMCA.
