The Raising Cane’s chicken finger revolution is on the move in the Lone Star State and heading east, where Caniacs in Longview will finally welcome the popular Louisiana-based chain for the first time next month.
The newest Raising Cane’s, located at 212 E. Loop 2811, across from Longview High School, opens on Saturday, July 5, promising a grand opening worthy of the addictive chicken fingers themselves. Doors open at 10 a.m., followed by a remote radio broadcast by 101.5 KNUE Country Radio from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A local transit bus is also spreading the love as it rolls through town sporting the Raising Cane’s logo.
In addition, the first 100 paying, dine-in customers will receive a commemorative Longview Cane’s T-shirt, along with a voucher for a free Box Combo – containing four fresh, never ever frozen chicken fingers, Texas toast, secret recipe Cane’s sauce, coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries and a drink – that may be redeemed on a subsequent visit.
Known for its ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals – Raising Cane’s mission extends beyond the kitchen and into the community with each grand opening, and Longview is no exception. On Sunday, June 29, General Manager Dayne Kelley and his crewmembers will roll up their sleeves to help clean up and fix houses with the Longview Habitat for Humanity. Since 1985, the local chapter has built 83 homes for low-income families through its self-help home ownership program.
“I’m very excited to work for a company like Raising Cane’s that is dedicated to giving back to the community and partnering with outstanding organizations like Habitat for Humanity,” Kelley said. “Having helped get our Tyler location up and running over the last several months, it’s been personally rewarding to see the difference we make at the local level. On top of that, people here have been buzzing about our new restaurant for weeks – they can’t wait to get their ONE LOVE on and have a Cane’s they can call their own.”
Between July 5 and 12, customers of the newest Raising Cane’s will also be invited to participate in the company’s “Give Back Giveaway” tradition, in which one customer will win a $1,000 donation to his or her local charity of choice, along with Free Cane’s for a Year.
The Longview opening marks the 59th restaurant in the state of Texas and the 188th system-wide. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to midnight.
