Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is “raising the roof” for local schools and loyal Caniacs in Frisco, as it prepares to open the city’s third restaurant on Thursday, Aug. 28.
The celebration will feature appearances by local sports greats and a special promotion benefitting one lucky Collin County high school.
DFW’s newest Raising Cane’s, located at 6311 Custer Rd., just north of the Sam Rayburn Tollway, will kick off its grand opening festivities at 9:30 a.m., followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, compliments of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce and other local dignitaries. Doors open at 10 a.m.
First-time visitors to the ceremonies are in for a treat, as 45-50 newly hired crewmembers perform their traditional cheers and other high-energy chants to launch the new location in unique Cane’s fashion. The first 100 customers will receive a commemorative Frisco Cane’s T-shirt, along with a voucher for a free Box Combo – containing four fresh, never ever frozen chicken fingers, Texas toast, secret recipe Cane’s sauce, coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries and a drink – that may be redeemed on a subsequent visit.
Deuce from the Frisco RoughRiders will also join in the celebration from 11 a.m. until noon that day, during which time he will hold a special drawing to win Free Cane’s For a Year! for dine-in customers ages 13 or older.
Those stopping by for dinner on Thursday will have the opportunity to meet a couple of their favorite FC Dallas players, as midfielder Danny Garcia and defender Michel will be signing autographs from 6-7 p.m. Soccer fans can also check out the FC Dallas tour bus parked on site and show off their fancy footwork by the giant inflatable soccer goal. Dine-in customers ages 13 or older visiting during this time may also enter to win Free Cane’s For a Year!
Staying true to its reputation for active community involvement, the popular chicken finger chain is also inviting dine-in customers to vote for their favorite Collin County high school between Sept. 1 and 15. The winning school will receive $975 from Cane’s and 97.5 FM, compliments of their “Raise the Roof” promotion.
Known for its ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals – Raising Cane’s mission extends beyond the kitchen and into the community with each grand opening, and Frisco’s newest Cane’s is certainly no exception. Custer Road Managing Partner Candidate Gary Fontenot and his crewmembers have been spending time this summer volunteering for Frisco Family Services. The team also spent the morning of Friday, Aug. 22, helping nearby SPCA of Texas spruce up the rescue organization’s facilities off Stacy Road.
“Everyone on this side of town has been ecstatic about our opening, and having FC Dallas out to help celebrate is something no one should miss,” said Fontenot. “Active support in our local communities is a huge part of Raising Cane’s DNA, and we look forward to carrying on that tradition by continuing our involvement in Frisco’s schools and non-profits over the coming months and years, along with our sister restaurants. It’s a great time to be a Caniac in Frisco!”
The Custer Road location marks the 26th in the Dallas-Fort Worth market and the 196th system-wide. Hours of operation will be Sunday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to midnight.
